It has been a busy and fun summer so far. I haven't posted for a long time so I'm going to try to catch up on what we've been doing. I think this post will test the limits on the number of pictures in a single post!
I wanted to give James some new pictures of our kids for his office. His old pictures didn't have Darcy in them. So we took some cute pictures of the kids on the grass. Here are my favorites...Dallin - 7 yrs oldShelby - 5 yrs old
Cody - 2 years old
Darcy - 10 months old
We finally got the concrete laid on our side yard. It is so nice to have cement there instead of the gravel that has been there for the last few years.James thought it would be fun to make a project with the kids. So we designed and made longboards for Dallin and Shelby. I helped the kids design the boards the way they wanted them. Then James cut them out.
The kids sanded them and then I helped them transfer their designs to the boards. The kids painted them mostly by themselves with just a little help from me.

And I must say the finished products were AWESOME! It was fun to see their creativity come out. They worked hard on their boards.
And now they are having fun playing with them. Their favorite thing to do with them is sit on them and ride down our driveway and around the cul-de-sac. I liked this picture because it has Cody running around with his "driver" as he calls it. He spends hours pushing this little car around. He completely wore out the back two wheels so we replaced them with new ones. He was so excited when his wheels came in the mail. It was cute!
On the 4th of July we went for a hike with Sandra and her boys to First Falls. It was a really fun hike. Of course there were the times when the kids were tired and didn't want to continue. But all it took was James lifting them up so they could see the end goal to reenergize them.We made it to the falls...what a pretty sight.
Here is Dallin at the falls. He's such a cute boy.

I loved this picture of the kids eating a snack and looking at the falls.
And here it is from the front...
I must say Darcy had the best spot for the hike!
Here I am with the kids at the falls. On the way down the trail we crossed the river. I was proud of the kids, Dallin and Shelby made it across all by themselves. Here is James helping Cody across.
We enjoyed the "Cul-de-sac of Fire" fireworks show on July 3rd.

Everyone had fun watching the fireworks and no one got hurt. So it was a successful firework show.
Here are the kids playing in our little swimming pool. It's fun to see how much fun they have playing in such a small pool.
For the father and sons campout we decided to camp in our backyard. It was the same night as the ward swimming party. Shelby really wanted to go camping also so we decided if they camped in our yard all the kids could participate. We made smores on our grill and played around in the tent for a while. Here are all the kids and Dad in the tent.
Then I took Darcy inside and put her to bed and I slept in my bed while James and the three oldest kids slept in the tent. It was a lot of fun for everyone. Here is Dallin with Darcy on his shoulders.
